Bánh mì (banh mi) is a sandwich that is a fusion of meats and vegetables such as traditional Vietnamese pork sausage, cilantro, cucumber, pickled carrots, and pickled daikon combined with condiments along with chili and mayonnaise. There are different varieties of filling though. Bread used is short baguette with thin, crisp crust and soft, airy texture inside.

It is made with rice flour batter with turmeric to give them a beautiful yellow tinge, and mixed together with coconut milk to make it extra creamy and rich. Toppins are usually shrimp and diced up green onions.
Bánh tráng trộn (banh trang tron) is a hodge-podge rice paper salad-type dish with an explosion of sweet, spicy, sour and savory flavors. It is made by combining different food like beef jerky, dried squid, dried shrimp, fresh Vietnamese coriander, unripe julienned green mango, chili oil, scallion oil, tamarind sauce, toasted peanuts, hard-boiled quail eggs, fried shallots and so many more.
