Bún chả (bun cha) is a dish served with grilled fatty pork over white rice noodles with herbs and dipping sauce.

Bò kho (bo kho) is a tomato based beef stew with carrots and vegetables.

Bún bò Huế (bun bo Hue) or simply bún bò is a soup dish made of rice vermicelli noodles and beef. It is a balance of spicy, salty, and umami flavors with the predominant flavor of lemongrass.

Cháo (chao) is a warm, creamy and comforting rice soup. There are different varieties and served with different toppings such as salted eggs, pork or chicken shreds, raw egg, peeled shrimp and others.

Cá kho tộ (ca kho to) is a spicy catfish clay pot dish with some pork.

Cơm bình dân (com binh dan) or the worker’s lunch is a big plate of rice, some boiled or pickled vegetables, soup and meat dishes.

Bún mọc (bun moc) is a soup dish made of rich-flavored broth and meatballs made from ground pork. It is served with rice noodles. For an intense flavor, chilly pepper and fermented shrimp paste are added.

Bánh xèo (banh xeo) is a savoury crispy, stuffed rice pancake dish with turmeric cooked in a hot skillet. Stuffings used are pork, shrimp, green onion, mung bean, and bean sprouts.

Bánh khọt (banh khot) is a mini pancake dish served with herbs, vegetables and spicy sweet fish sauce dipping. It is made with rice flour batter with turmeric to give them a beautiful yellow tinge, and mixed together with coconut milk to make it extra creamy and rich. Bánh tráng trộn (banh trang tron) is a hodge-podge rice paper salad-type dish with an explosion of sweet, spicy, sour and savory flavors.
